The company SHS Graphische Maschinen GmbH was founded in 1992 by the brothers Dirk and Thomas Heuchert, Ralf Streng and Jörg Slawik. Coinciding with the foundation a warehouse of 800 square meters was rented in Henstedt-Ulzburg. In 2006 the complete print shop Brünnler in Norderstedt was bought including the printing equipment and property. The warehouse with 2,500 square meters was required as business was increasing and the larger office space was always welcome. In 2008 the Thai paper and machinery dealers CAS joined SHS Graphische Maschinen GmbH as partners. There was a change of name to SHS-CAS Graphische Maschinen GmbH. In 2006, the co-owner Ralf Streng parted, to work in Taiwan for the company Heidelberg, as well as Jörg Slawik who wanted to concentrate on his career as photographer .
In 2013, the company ink4live GmbH merged with the company SHS-CAS Graphische Maschinen GmbH. The new co-CEO Till Mertens and Lukasz Silezin took over the shares of CAS as these withdrawed from the company SHS-CAS.
End of 2018 Dirk and Thomas Heuchert desired to retire early and pass the company on to the younger generation. As replacement Mr. Heiko Wulff will be joining SHS-CAS as CEO from January 2019 onwards.
In 2014, the company SHS-CAS sold over 414 printing units, 42 guillotines, 14 folding machines and 58 other post- and pre-press machines. With pride we can assume that we, as far as the number of sold printing units is concerned, are the largest used machinery dealer in Europe .
